Cori Kirkpatrick -WINNER!
Our winner this week is Kat's catch of a lifetime. Two weeks ago, Kat
and her husband Cori were jigging for macks up at the Gorge when Kat
hooked a big one. Other anglers could hear Kat scream as she battled
and finally landed this 46 inch long Lake Trout. Their digital scale
confirmed what they already knew. The fish was over 50 pounds. After a
few quick photo's the beast was released for other anglers to one day
enjoy. According to her husband, she's worked hard to learn to catch
these fish and has paid her dues. And due to such a great fish, great
smile and great picture. Kat and Cori have hauled in our great prize
from Camp Chef for having the snapshot of the week.
Andy Kifer - "Salmon Run."Andy wasn't able to take his 3 year old daughter Averi to Idaho for the famous "salmon Run this year." So he took her to an Electric Lake tributary for her own "salmon run" where she ended up helping her dad land this great "salmon cutt". Dad was able to get up to the Salmon River in Idaho where he caught this 18 pound King, upon his arrival back home. Averi met him at the door and said. "Dad that's a nice salmon, but I think mine was bigger!"
Matt Chidester - Get out of bed!Matt had to convince his in-laws to wake up at 5 am to drive up into the Lamar Valley on a recent trip to Yellowstone to look for animals. Which he says was no small task! They were rewarded however as they ended up seeing three wolves and 13 bears. Including this big grizzly. That strutted his stuff for all of the cameras and according to Matt, seemed to enjoy the attention.
Kelly Bailey - Out fished dadThis year Kelly's son Dillon out fished the ol' man. Check out his 3 and one quarter pound german brown he caught at Hebgen Lake near West Yellowstone. Kelly had to help a little because his sons arms got a bit tired after the 15 minute battle and says it's a memory that will live forever.
Holly Willden - Rare GobblerBret Rollins and Ryan Willden had a great turkey hunt in New Mexico this past April. Ryan was able to harvest this very unique Albino Merriams turkey opening day. The bird had a 8 and a half inch beard and weighed in at 18 pounds. A rare trophy.
