The Winter Dew Tour announced that Snowbasin will host the third and final stop of the Tour’s third season, February 10-13, 2011. Snowbasin is elevating the four-day championship event by building a 22-foot superpipe while showcasing the top winter athletes from around the world competing in freeskiing (slopestyle and superpipe) and snowboarding (slopestyle and superpipe). Snowbasin is a host resort for the second consecutive year on the Winter Dew Tour, closing out the season with the Toyota Championship for the first time this season.

“Bringing the championship event to Utah demonstrates the wonderful partnership that we have with both the Summer and Winter Dew Tour,” said Jeff Robbins, President & CEO of the Utah Sports Commission. “Last year proved to be a great event generating significant economic impact and worldwide exposure for the State of Utah, and we look forward to building upon the tremendous success of last year now playing host to the season-ending championship event in Utah.”

“We are really thrilled to host the championship event for the Winter Dew Tour,” said Kent Lyons, General Manager of Snowbasin. “It will be exciting to see how fans and athletes react to the new 22-foot pipe.”

“The partnership between Snowbasin, the Ogden community and the state of Utah lead to a successful event on all levels,” said Chris Prybylo, General Manager of the Winter Dew Tour. “Bringing the Toyota Championships to Utah was an easy decision and we’re looking forward to building on our successes in 2011.”

Boasting the largest media platform in all of winter action sports, all three stops of the Winter Dew Tour will be televised Live on NBC, simulcast on Verizon V CAST and around the world on Eurosport 2 and Fox Sports Australia, with additional broadcasts on USA Network, MTV2 and Universal HD.
