SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - A former international fugitive accused of scamming investors out of more than $18 million is accused of trying to kill four witnesses against him.

A federal grand jury in Salt Lake City indicted 47-year-old Jeffrey Mowen of Lindon on Wednesday on six new charges.

They include solicitation to commit a crime of violence, tampering with a witness, and retaliating against a witness.

Mowen's trial is scheduled for Jan. 11.
